2010 franchise period
Well done everyone after an exciting franchise round. Just to remind you that the new Franchise period begins as of 00.00 on 1 March, although new franchises may not have to begin transmissions until 9.25.

What are your ambitions for your franchises in the new period?

Well done to those who have retained or have won their franchise round, I felt a bit bored really having been unapposed in both my franchises. Smile

Well, I feel like I've done the right thing by joining this round, although I was surprised by its results.

Both emerald1 and 2 will get new packages, SixAM still has some problems to work out - but we hope we'd settle it before the start.

Nothing. Although I am planning a massive overhaul of Viridian Cablevision now that my PC is back.

Congratulations all winners.

RE: 2010 franchise period
Here at Western, we are gearing up for some new and exciting things

Sring will see new programming on the digital channel 'arena' - some new and exclusive to UK showings of programmes

Western its self will see higher quality news with our new news provider partner (we are wtill using CNN for some overnight sustaining output)

As one of the first parts of England to go fully digital - we are expanding our red button service, to include some catch-up tv offerings

On the cable franchise in parts of the area, we have been given capacity for a few extra channels - the first two we will go with is a +1 service of Western and 'arena'
Cable already carrys the main Western channel, as well as 'arena'

We want to hear from other SIX network channels for what to do with the rest of this capacity!
