As I have previously announced, I am resigning from the position of DofTV. We are now looking for a new replacement, and shortly the Director of Digital. Explainations of the duties of the roles can be found here:
If you wish to be considered for this position, please post your name below, and then give a breif synopsis of what you'd like to achieve with your power, how you'd like to place your own stamp on the position and in what ways you'd like to make any positive changes.
I'll keep this thread open until after the franchise rounds, then I shall create a poll to elect the new DofTV!
Best of wishes, I hope my successor will enjoy it as much as I have.

Edit--- May 2010
This thread has now been demoted to the DISCUSSION of the DofTV nominations ONLY
A new nominations thread with NO discussion permitted will be posted on around 10 June. A new DofTV will be elected by the 30 June.
I will consider throwing my hat into the ring, but it will depend if I retain my sole franchise (East Anglia). If I do retain it I won't apply, but if I lose it not only it will give me enough time for me to devote to the role should I be elected, but without a franchise I would also be unbiased.

I would love to apply but I just don't feel that I have the spare time to operate the role effectively, especially if VB wins two franchises. One day, hopefully...

At the time of writing, my hopes of retaining the East Anglia franchise appears to be fading (which can change, of course). So, I will be typing up my DoT proposals in the meantime, and if I do lose the franchise, publish my document in PDF form on Sunday (never attempted PDF publication before, but it will give me a good chance to use this feature on OpenOffice's Writer program).

If not Lee, may I suggest one of the image printer-based applications such as doPDF, which prints to a PDF image from any application
I did use FlashPaper, but I find it irritatingly slow compared to some of the free alternatives.
