Moving Forwards
Hi everyone,

Things have been a bit quiet from me over the past few months, so I'm going to take this opportunity to let you all know what I'm planning on to move Network Six forwards.

6CA Changes
As wonderful an idea the 6CA is, clearly in practice it doesn't work too well. Therefore I'm going to restructure the 6CA, giving everyone specific roles. The Director of Television will now be heading the 6CA (although the DofT is still considered part of Net Control, and still the second most powerful role on the network). Below the 6CA will be a Director of Digital, who will be directly responsible for overseeing the licensing and the operations of the digital channels. Other roles are yet to be worked out, and suggestions are welcome.

Website Update
I'm working on an updated, content complete version of the website. I'm not sure when this will be finished, but it will offer more information and improved functionality though updated version of the forum and wiki software.

YouTube Channel
For the more creative of those among us, I'm looking at setting up a Network Six YouTube channel where everyone will be able to upload various videos, such as franchise presentation.

Technical Standards
Graphics and schedules are a big part of the game, but technical standards have only been touched upon in the past, despite being a big part of television transmission. Therefore, starting with the next franchise round, I plan on introducing technical standards more into the game, such as requiring documentation of the structure of the Freeview multiplex in each region. I can ensure it will be nothing too complicated, but will clarify how the network is structured and operates, and give everyone a good idea to the setup of each region.

Rules Update
The network rules will also be updated to reflect these changes and to clarify some sections which I feel need to be rewritten. There will be no major changes.

Six International
I've been considering starting Six International, which will operate in a similar manor to the current franchise system. The world will be split up into international regions, in which members will be able to operate a Six International channel in that region. The channel is aimed more towards British expats, broadcasting Net Six programming, but should also be aimed towards international viewers interested in the programming, similar to BBC Prime/BBC Entertainment/BBC America. It would also have a Head of International overseeing it, which will be part of the 6CA. At the moment it is nothing more than an idea, which would obviously need regulations written up and how to split up the world decided on. Suggestions on this idea are more than welcome.
