RTLuk - COMPANY NEWS
RTLuk - COMPANY NEWS

RTLuk have seen operating profits grow in the first quater of 2007. RTLuk is plowing more finances in to news programming, strengthening its ties with CNN and a new company YBtf.

RTLuk and YBtf are to co-produce the new programme 'NIGHTLINE' which will air in the RTL West and RTL South West area from spring 2007.

RTLuk is also concentrating on the digital channel CLASSIX. RTLuk currently have a channel on freeview that is trials various things out on, but with effect from the end of April 2007, this channel will be no longer. The capacity has been sold on to Top Up TV for expansion of its Anytime service.

All channels on the freeview channel will cease, and programming on them will find homes else where within the CLASSIX schedule or the rights will be sold on to other UK broadcasters.

The funds raised by the sale of the freeview slot will be plowed back in to RTLuk's digital plans, including an enhanced 'red button' service on the digital versions of RTL West and RTL South West, and will also be used to further localise output to the Scilly Isles and South West Cornwall.

If RTLuk is no longer interested in operating this channel, I would be happy to operate this channel by buying program rights off you.
